US 10-year Treasury yield languishes near 8-week lows
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The yield on the US 10-year treasury note continues to trade near the eight-week lows as the disappointing non-farm payrolls data released on Friday triggered speculation that the Fed may not hike rates in 2015.
The 10-year yield currently trades at 1.841%, compared to the eight-week low of 1.802% seen on Friday. Meanwhile, the 2-year yield in the US trades at 0.492%. At the moment, not much action is seen at the long-end or the short-end of the bond market curve.
We may see the yields react to the US ISM non-manufacturing data slated for release later today.
US 10-year yield Technical Levels
The immediate resistance is seen at 1.859%, above which gains could be extended to 1.931%. On the flip side, support is seen at 1.802%, under which losses could be extended to 1.759%.
