US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 334K
FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 26K last week to a seasonally adjusted 334K in the week ended July 12, below expectations at 345K and coming from 360K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 91K to a seasonally adjusted 3.114 million in the week ended July 6 vs. 3.023 million in the previous week (revised).
