USD/CAD wobbles below 1.2600

FXStreet (Edinburgh) - The greenback is depreciating vs. its fellow neighbor on Monday, now taking USD/CAD to the area below 1.2600 the figure.

USD/CAD indifferent post data

The pair remains within the daily range, with upside limited by overnight peaks around 1.2630 while the 1.2570 region keeps offering decent support.

Spot practically ignored the disappointing Housing Starts in Canada during the last month and it also bypassed the US Labor Market Conditions Index, coming in at 4.0 during February vs. 4.9 in the previous reading.

USD/CAD important levels

At the moment the pair is down 0.17% at 1.2590 and a break below 1.2576 (low Mar.9) would target 1.2565 (high Mar.2) en route to 1.2549 (high Mar.4). On the upside, the initial hurdle lines up at 1.2627 (high Mar.6) followed by 1.2662 (high Feb.24) and then 1.2697 (high Feb.11).
