NZD/USD holds at weekly lows
FXStreet (Córdoba) - NZD/USD dropped during the European session to 0.7448, level last seen back in February 24 and then bounced to the upside trimming losses. The pair is consolidating above 0.7450, near the lows of the week after losing on Thursday more than a hundred pips.
The recovery of the pair found resistance at 0.7475 and currently trades at 0.7465, down 0.15% for the day, and 90 pips below the level it had a week ago.
NZD/USD ahead of NFP and RBNZ
In a few hours, in the US the NFP report will be release and it is likely to impact in the US dollar while next Wednesday (near Wall Street closing, Thursday in NZ), the Reserve Bank of New Zealand will announce it decision on monetary policy. Consensus points out that the central bank will leave rates unchanged but some analysts warn that it could make a cut, like the Reserve Bank of Australia did in February.
