Beige Book: Activity continued to expand across most Districts
FXStreet (Córdoba) - US economic activity continued to expand across the country from early January to mid-February, although bad weather, a stronger dollar and lower oil prices weighed on some sectors, according to the Federal Reserve Beige Book.
Payrolls remained stable or expanded across broad range of sectors, but wage pressures remained moderate and were limited largely to workers in skilled occupations, the report said. Prices for goods and services were flat to slightly increasing according to most Districts.
The Beige Book is a survey that summarizes anecdotal information from outside of the Federal Reserve System. March report was prepared by Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and based on information collected on or before February 23, 2015.
