AUD/JPY dumped below 92 as RBA Stevens speak

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - While RBA Stevens is having his speech in Brisbane Australia, and Aussie is plummeting to fresh weekly lows at 0.9105, the AUD/JPY foreign exchange cross rate is last trading at fresh session highs 91.66.

AUD/JPY sharply lower on sudden Aussie weakness

The Australian RBA governor has mentioned that “if the economy ‘needs’ a lower exchange rate, it will probably get it," market sources said. The AUD/JPY cross is still higher by +1.21% for the week, mostly on the back of Yen weakness.

AUD/JPY Key technical levels

Immediate support to the downside for AUD/JPY lies at recent session lows at 91.54, followed by yesterday's lows/June 19 highs at 91.32, and June 24 highs at 91.09. To the upside, closest resistance shows at yesterday's NY session lows 91.76, followed by Monday's highs at 92.24, and recent session highs at 92.43.

Reserve Bank of Australia Chief Glenn Stevens is crossing the wires, with some juicy comments that are making the Australian dollar go lower from 0.9090 session highs to currently approach trend lows at 0.9103.
