NZD/USD around 0.7460, eyes on RBNZ
FXStreet (Edinburgh) - The Kiwi dollar is trading almost unchanged vs. its American counterpart on Wednesday, with NZD/USD meandering around the mid-0.7400s.

The pair is recovering part of the pullback from session tops near the key barrier at 0.7500 to the mid-0.7400s during the European afternoon, ahead of the RBNZ monetary policy meeting and trade balance figures in New Zealand. Prior surveys expect the central bank to leave the refi rate intact at 3.5% while the trade deficit would have narrowed to NZD 26.5 billion during December.

As of writing the pair is up 0.05% at 0.7461 with the initial hurdle at 0.7495 (high Jan.28) ahead of 0.7529 (high Jan.23) and finally 0.7584 (high Jan.22). On the downside, a break below 0.7409 (low Jan.27) would open the door to 0.7399 92015 low Jan.26) and then 0.7371 (low Nov. 2011).
