UK GDP expected in line with consensus – TDS

FXStreet (Barcelona) - The TD Securities Team previews today’s UK data releases, further expecting that UK GDP print for Q4 might come out in line with consensus at 0.6%qoq.

Key Quotes

“We’re in line with consensus in looking for GDP to expand by 0.6% Q/Q in Q4, and we don’t see any significant risks in either direction. The details are likely to show struggling industrial and construction sectors, but a much stronger performance on the services side. This will cap off a very strong year for UK economic growth.”

“Elsewhere, we will receive BBA loan numbers for house purchases, after the release was delayed from yesterday. Markets are looking for another decline from 36.7K in Nov to 36.5K in Dec, although we think that we should see some stabilization soon.”
