USD/CAD threatens 2013 high

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The USD/CAD has continued to move north during the American session, printing fresh highs for the day and on track to retest its 2013 peak scored on Monday at 1.0555.

USD/CAD breaks above 1.0500

USD/CAD broke above the 1.0500 mark and climbed to a high of 1.0552 so far, propelled by a fresh wave of USD buying. At time of writing, USD/CAD is trading at the 1.0530 zone, recording a 0.5% gain on the day.

If USD/CAD breaks above 1.0555, it will be trading at its highest level since October 2011, with immediate resistances at 1.0600 (psychological level) and 1.0655 (high Oct 4 2011). On the other hand, supports are now seen at 1.0500 and 1.0450 (daily low).

USD/CHF pares losses after recent jump

The USD/CHF technical pair rebounded out of an earlier trough that pitted the exchange rate in the depths of 0.9411 (intraday low) earlier today.
