USD/JPY jumps above 121.00 after NFP
FXStreet (Córdoba) - USD/JPY jumped from 120.00 and broke above 121.00, hitting at 121.28 a fresh 7-year high after a better-than-expected US employment report. The pair remains above 121.00, as the US dollar soars across the board.
US dollar jumps on upbeat NFP
Nonfarm Payrolls rose in November 321.000 considerably above the 230.000 expected by analysts and higher than previous month. October numbers were revised upward from 214.000 to 243.000. The unemployment rate remained at 5.8% as expected.
While Greenback rose in the currency market, the yen weakened and reached fresh low versus the pound and remains near daily lows against commodity currencies.
