Swedish third quarter GDP expands 2.1 percent year-on-year

FXStreet (London) - Swedish third quarter adjusted GDP expanded by 0.3 percent according to data from Statistics Sweden, beating consensus expectations of a 0.2 percent gain. However the Swedish economy remains down of yearly forecasts, at 2.1 percent growth versus 2.3 percent estimates after second quarter GDP growth was downward revised 0.2 percentage points.

Household consumption expenditures increased by a non-adjusted 2.4 percent and government consumption expenditures increased by a non-adjusted 2.3 percent. Goods production increased by 0.1 percent and service producing industries rose by 3.2 percent.

OPEC; producers of the world unite – ING

The ING Research Team notes that OPEC frequently used the world ‘unite’ among global producers yesterday during its announcement of no production cuts, implying that non-OPEC members should be the ones scaling back production.
