USD/CHF falls toward 0.9600
FXStreet (Córdoba) - As it was the case yesterday, USD/CHF started the day moving higher but changed course at mid-European session and stretched to fresh daily lows following disappointing US data.
USD/CHF peaked at 0.9665, but failed to sustain gains and turned lower, sliding to a daily low of 0.9606 following the release of the latest string of US data, which showed consumer confidence improved in November, but remained below expectations. Meanwhile, pending home sales declined by 1.1% in October, missing expectations of a 1.0% rise.
At time of writing, USD/CHF is trading at 0.9610, recording a 0.31% loss on the day. USD/CHF has been under pressure this week, printing lower highs and lower lows on daily basis, putting the short-term focus on the downside as the pair back away from multi-year highs printed earlier this month.
