AUD/USD moves toward 0.8600
FXStreet (Córdoba) - AUD/USD has drifted lower throughout the day against a backdrop of mixed US dollar and majors pairs correcting Friday’s moves.
AUD/USD found resistance at the 21-day SMA at 0.8700 and came under pressure, having lost more than 100 pips from Friday’s peak and already retraced post-PBoC gains. The pair is currently trading at 0.8620, recording a 0.66% loss on the day, and having hit a low of 0.8611 so far.
AUD/USD levels to watch
As for technical levels, next supports are seen at 0.8603/00 (Nov 21 low/psychological level), 0.8565 (Nov 20 low) and 0.8540 (2014 low 7 de Nov). On the flip side, resistances could be found at 0.8700 (21-day SMA/psychological level), 0.8722 (Nov 21 high) and 0.8760 (50-day SMA).
