AUD/USD hits 8-day low
FXStreet (Córdoba) - Australian dollar is among the worst performers Wednesday, having lost nearly a full cent throughout the day, with AUD/USD trading just above daily lows.
AUD/USD came under renewed pressure after a day of calm, and broke below the 0.8670/60 support area to hit an 8-day low of 0.8621 before bouncing slightly. At time of writing, AUD/USD is trading at 0.8640, recording a 0.87% loss on the day.
AUD/USD has been suffering on the back of strong buying interest in USD/JPY, having hit a 4-year low earlier this month.
AUD/USD levels to watch
In terms of technical levels, next supports for AUD/USD are seen at 0.8621 (Nov 19 low), 0.8590 (Nov 11 low) and 0.8540 (2014 low Nov 7). On the other hand, resistance could be found at 0.8674 (10-day SMA), 0.8720 (20-day SMA/Nov 19 high) and 0.8746 (Nov 18 high).
