Speculators increased bearish bets on Treasuries
FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Friday, speculators increased their bearish bets for a second straight week on Ten-year Treasury futures.
The non-commercial contracts of the ten-year notes stood at a net position of -112,458 contracts in the data reported for November 11th. For the week, the overall bullish bets fell by 23,822 contracts while the bearish bets increased by 41,350 contracts. Moreover, the overall bearish positions now stand at its highest level since October 14th.
Moreover, the yield remained in a narrow range of 2.34% to 2.38% throughout the reporting period from Nov. 4 to Nov. 11.
