US Ten-year yields hits 13-1/2 month lows
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The US Ten-year treasury yields have slumped to a 13-1/2 month lows today, after the yields managed to finish the last week below the August 2014 low of 2.303.
The Ten-year year yield is currently trading at 2.26, a level not seen since July 2013. The Yields had rallied back then after the Federal Reserve (Fed) hinted at scaling back the monthly bond purchase program. The yields eventually topped out at 3.041 in Jan 2014 post which the geopolitical tensions, uncertainty regarding the timing of the first interest rate hike, and the recent threat of global economic slowdown push yields back to pre-Taper talk levels.
The Ten-year yield saw a gap down opening at 2.234 today. The rates are now slowly inching up towards the last week’s close of 2.286.

The yield has an immediate resistance of 2.286 (last week’s closing level), while the immediate support is located at a day’s low of 2.234.
