US stocks closed flat after a day of panic

Investors watched stocks collapsing earlier in the day as majors indexes went into corrective mode on Thursday. However, shares managed to recover and the S&P and Nasdaq closed somehow positive while the DJIA posted small losses.

US stocks recovered from lows and closed flat on the day as market players are waiting for Friday's US employment report. ECB didn't give any major headline.

The Dow Jones eased 3.66 points or 0.02% on the day to 16,801.05; the S&P 500 was flat on the day and the the Nasdaq recovered 1.0% declines to close at 4,430.19 after winning 8.11 points or 0.18% on the session.
