BoE's Broadbent: Time not ripe for a rate hike yet
FXStreet (Łódź) - BoE deputy governor Ben Broadbent said in an interview for ITV that the UK economy, although already quite strong and on the path to normalization, still wasn't ready for a rate increase.
"There is still no evidence that low rates are breeding higher risk," Broadbent remarked.
He nevertheless advised businesses and households should to brace themselves for the tightening and "think prudently about how much debt to take on".
