US Stocks closed mixed amid wait-and-see mode ahead Fed
FXStreet (San Francisco) - Wall Street opened the week with a mixed note as the Dow posted a small gain while the S&P and the Nasdaq closed at 4-week lows.
Investors are in wait-and-see mode ahead of Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting. In addition, tech companies are under pressure amid Alibaba's IPO later on the week. The Nasdaq performed its worst day since July 31.
The Dow Jones advanced 43.63 pts or 0.26% t finish at 17,031.14; the S&P 500 eased 1.41 pts or 0.07T to close at 1,984.13; while the Nasdaq Composite lost 48.70 pts or 1.07% to 4,518.90.
